Information You Provide
Search Entries
A name or location entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that search service. Floyd County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages
If a visitor sends an email or contact message, the information supplied may be kept to respond. It is not disclosed outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data and Cookies
When a browser visits a page, routine technical information may be received to operate, secure, and understand the service. This can include an IP address, browser version, device and operating system, pages visited, time spent, referring page, and visit timestamp.
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools may help measure use of the service. A browser can be set to block them, although some features may work differently as a result.
How Information Is Used
Information helps keep the service available, direct a search request to the appropriate partner, understand which material is useful, identify technical faults, and deliver advertising that may be relevant to a visitor's interests.
External Services and Links
Links may lead to jail lookups, sheriff pages, corrections systems, court portals, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the receiving service's own privacy terms apply. Advertising partners may also track activity across sites on their own systems for interest-based advertising.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold. It may be handled by search partners processing a query, analytics providers, advertising networks, or government and law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal order.
Security Practices
Reasonable safeguards are used for information handled by the service, but no internet-connected system can promise complete security. A breach-proof result cannot be guaranteed.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may request its deletion.
Data Choices
A visitor may ask for a copy of personal information held by the service, seek correction of inaccurate information, request deletion where applicable, or ask to opt out of certain processing. Requests may be sent through Get in Touch.
Policy Revisions
This notice may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. An updated version takes effect when posted with its new effective date.
